Laryssa and Meghan leave for dinner following the pageant

Competition for Miss Longview and Miss Teen Longview was held on Sunday, October 26, 2008 at Plano Senior High School in Plano, Texas. At the conclusion of the pageant, Meghan Miller was selected as Miss Longview 2009 and Laryssa Bonacquisti was selected Miss Teen Longview. Meghan and Laryssa will represent Longview at the state competitions in Fort Worth in July.

The pageant was held in conjunction with the Miss Dallas and Miss Teen Dallas Pageants. Elise Martinez was selected as Miss Dallas and Logan McCormick was selected Miss Teen Dallas.

Meghan is the 20 year old daughter of Stewart and Ellen Miller. She performed ventriloquism for her talent and was the Non-vocal Talent Winner and the Overall Talent Winner in the Miss division. Her platform issue is: The Power of One.

Laryssa is the 13 year old daughter of Gary and Lynnette Bonacquisti. She performed ventriloquism for her talent and was the Non-vocal Talent Winner and the Overall Talent Winner in the Teen division. Her platform issue is: Don’t Be A Dummy, Be a Better You: Setting Goals to Help Build Self Esteem.

1st Runner-up to Miss Longview was Cassidy Arend. 1st Runner-up to Miss Dallas was Kira Morris, who was also the winner of the Lifestyle and Fitness in Swimsuit award. 2nd Runner-up was Nichola Kouzes, who was also the winner of the Vocal Talent award. 3rd Runner-up was Lindsey Burris. 4th Runner-up was Kim Borge.

1st Runner-up to Miss Teen Longview was Amber Blocker, who was also the winner of the Lifestyle and Fitness in Aerobic Wear award. 1st Runner-up to Miss Teen Dallas was Sterling Bishop . 2nd Runner-up was Morgan Fuller.

In awards announced after the pageant, Elise Martinez was named the Miss Evening Wear winner and Lindsey Burris the Miss Interview winner. BreAnna Young was named the Teen Evening Wear winner and Logan McCormick the Teen Interview winner.
