Rebecca recently the Bilingual Educators Emphasizing and Mastering Standards (BEEMS) conference held in El Paso, Texas on March 6-8, 2008.

The BEEMS Conference offered a unique opportunity for administrators, teachers and parents. Administrators received updates on policy and the English Language Proficiency Standards; educators enhanced their teaching skills and cultural awareness, and parents learned more about ways to get involved in their children's education and success. Participants in the bi-national event were in a unique learning environment that could rarely be found anywhere else in the world.
