Rebecca in California

Rebecca left for California on Sunday, September 21, 2008 where she will join the other Miss America contestants to begin taping a four-episode reality show series for the TLC cable network.

The series will focus on different elements and challenges for the 52 contestants and will allow the television audience to become familiar with the contestants before they see them compete in January for the title of Miss America 2009.

All 52 of the contestants competing for the Miss America 2009 appeared together for the first time ever on network television for the Ellen DeGeneres Show on Friday, September 26

All of the Miss America contestants appeared at IHOP to learn how to flip, stack and serve pancakes. One of the first appearances for Miss America 2009 will be as the spokesperson for IHOP’s February 24, 2009 National Pancake Day.
